Great article which reminds us of how much we have become addicted to technology. We are technology slaves!

Being connected 24/7 certainly has it's advantages but how adversely is it affecting our ability to communicate effectively?  A more important question is why are we letting technology control us, our time, our priorities and even our moods?

I know that in most law firms there is a culture of expectation around responsiveness to emails ... how often have you been chased for a reply to an email only minutes after receiving it?

It's time for us all to take back control: switch off those alerts, beeps, rings and don't get addicted to checking your inbox / messages etc.

Perhaps we need to pick up the phone a bit more often and start talking to each other!
